TekTegrity's CNO Receives Tri-County Recognition

January 20th, 2007

Jeremy Koellish, Chief Networking Officer and Vice President of TekTegrity, has been recognized as one of the Pacific Coast Business Times "40 Under 40." He was noted not only for his amazing entrepreneurial success, but also for the many contributions that he makes to the community on a regular basis.

In April 2006, Koellish, Russ Levanway & Ben Diringer began working off a card table in the living room of Levanway's home. That was the humble beginnings of TekTegrity. Now, just over one year and three office expansions later, TekTegrity has 20 employees and a continuing trend of hiring one to three new employees per month. Today they manage over 3,800 computers from their corporate headquarters in San Luis Obispo.

Koellish's commitments extend well beyond the business. He donates his time as a presenter at various Career Days and coordinates a corporate computer donation program. Koellish reconfigures donated computers from expanding businesses, sets them up to match a school's software, and installs them in classrooms that are in need. Koellish generously donates staff time and money to other causes, including Creative Mediation, a non-profit organization that provides conflict resolution and mediation services to individuals, families and groups in the community. He also donates his time serving on the board of directors of Hotline, a non-profit organization that provides a 24-hour crisis, support and information and referral service, and donates technicians to repair Hotline's computers and network systems. When asked why he donates so much of his own time and money, Koellish simply replied, "Because I was born and raised in this area and I want to give back to a community that has given so much to me."

According to the publisher of the Pacific Coast Business Times, George Wolverton, this year was the most competitive year for the nominees (of the "40 under 40") in the seven year history of the publication. The winners were selected based on fulfillment of three distinct criteria: professional accomplishment, community involvement and outside recognition of those accomplishments. Koellish will be honored, with the other 39 winners, at a gala dinner at the Topa Tower Club, in Oxnard, California, on October 15, 2007. Koellish is honored to be recognized among other great leaders within the community. "I have lived my life with the simple principles of never forgetting where you come from and who helped you along the way. And to now be recognized for this is something that I will always be proud of," said Koellish. He hopes that his recognition inspires others to give back to the community.

"I have known Jeremy Koellish since 1997 and am a great admirer of his character, ethics, encouraging nature, and commitment to helping others. Not only is he motivated and disciplined, Koellish is also humble and fiercely loyal, surrounding himself with a management team that includes his two best friends, his mother and co-workers from years past," said Jeff Bower.
